Sylas gaze flickered. He wasnt entirely sure what was happening, but what he did know was that there was probably no going back now.
Ancestor Analei suddenly sat up from her seat.
…Well, Ill be damned…
She blinked once and then directly stood up. In a flash, she vanished from her hidden underground practicing quarters. However, she hadnt made it far before the skies were covered.
Fucking hell, dont you old bastards have something better to do?
I knew the moment you woke up nothing could go peacefully. What did you do this time, Fanelei?
A man with huge, drooping earlobes appeared before her. His belly was as large and solid as a wok, his skin carrying hints of a bronzed color-enough to make one raise an eyebrow, but not quite enough to seem unnatural to a human of Earth.
His earlobes drooped like long hair, even swaying slightly in the wind. Large gauges were dug out of their tips, but rather than hollow circles, they were spikes that seemed formed of extraordinarily heavy weights despite their small stature.
Mind your own business, how about that? the old Analei snarled.
The large-bellied mans eyes narrowed. If Fanelei was acting like this instead of just laughing and sneering at his face, this was bigger than he thought it was.
All cities had their problems. Who knew, a power outage of this scale might just be the mistake of a grunt somewhere. However, even with their stature, since they were awake, they should take action.
A power outage of this scale wasnt just a matter of it being out, it was also a safety issue. If it was an enemy attack and they ignored it, things could get far worse before they got better, so they chose caution first.
This, though…
The large-bellied man wasnt the only one who appeared in the skies like this. There were three others, all of them looking toward Fanelei with raised brows.
Fuck, Fanelei cursed under her breath, and then suddenly slapped her palms together.
BOOM.
A ripple spread out, but unlike the abrupt sound, it was incredibly gentle.
The land behind Fanelei lit up and ripples began to come from it as well. This resu, though… even she wasnt quite expecting.
For the second time in what fe like just as many seconds, she stood in shock and awe.
The Analei Founders were reacting.
What is this? The large-bellied mans shock was written all over his face. Fanelei, if youre doing something that will harm the rest of our families, I will forget any previous connections weve had.
Fanelei was too busy feeling out the changes to react. It was like she hadnt heard the words spoken at all. In fact, she was still floored.
The Analei Founders reacting to an F-tier? What the hell was happening?
The trouble was…
Even Fanelei had no concept of what a Pure Spark Seed was.
The minor flickers of Sylas eyes were growing more substantial. That was because he realized something even more troubling.
This didnt show any signs of stopping.
He wasnt gaining any power. If anything, everything happening right now was putting a great amount of pressure on him.
The problem was that the Runes here were doing their best to unearth the truth of his Spark Seed, but they couldnt come to an accurate assessment. Having never been outfitted for this sort of resu, there were no failsafes for how much energy it could take, so it was continuing-purging more and more in an attempt to do so.
Sylas wasnt even sure how to stop it.
Just when he thought he might very well explode, it all came to an abrupt stop, and he took a heavy single step backward.
The light around him slowly faded, and a blindness he had hardly registered he was experiencing before likewise faded. His eyes stung a bit, and it almost fe as though his chest cavity had been forcefully doubled in size before returning to its original state, making his entire torso incredibly sore.
Sylas took a breath, suppressing the pain he was experiencing. He looked up to find that several gazes were on him, but it was little different from what it usually was.
The problem was that very soon, that wouldnt be the case.
He blinked only a single time, and yet in the next instant, Fanelei was standing before him.
Sylas had never seen her in person before, but somehow he knew exactly who it was.
The Rizen Generals pupils constricted, and he immediately fell to a knee. The children around seemed to take their cues from him, the first of them to follow being the other Rizen children. Then came the others.
The slowest to react was Malikhi. Unlike Leia, he had no familial relation to Faneleiat least not any connection that wasnt removed by three or more generations. However, he too took a knee.
As for Leia, she found a crease in the ground that was particularly interesting to stare right at. She never fe very comfortable when her grandmother was awake.
Youve caused a great deal of trouble, Fanelei said indifferently.
Sylas didnt reply. He didnt think this was a sentence that could be replied to.
Typical. Fanelei shook her head. Dammit. That was supposed to hold them for at least half a minute.
BANG. BANG. BANG.
Three Ancestors appeared in quick succession, each one with auras infinitely close to the S-tier.
Sylas had never seen even one expert of this caliber, let alone four of them all in one area like this.
What is this, Fanelei? A human boy? The large-bellied Ancestor was even more confused. They had come here guns blazing, expecting to find something sinister, only to see the very last thing they could have expected.
What happened to minding your own business? I saved the city, did I not?
After you probably had a huge part in nearly destroying our entire infrastructure.
I wasnt the one who drew these fauy fucking Runes, now was I?
