When the peak Rank Five mechanic named Welks made his move, it amazed everyone!
Forbidden SpellCelestial Omen Magnetic Waves!
The resonance of forbidden spell-level magic rippled across the low-level plane battlefield, and every lesser creature on both sides felt a surge of dread and terror.
This was a force capable of obliterating everything.
Survival instincts screamed at them to run, but orders from their commanders forced these lowly creatures to stay and keep on slaughtering one another.
That forbidden spell was not cast by Welks alone.
About sixty thousand mechanics under him joined his effort, completing the spell as a group. One could only imagine the absurd level of destructive power the spell would unleash once completed!
Was this Magus World legion planning to destroy the entire world?
But that made no sense. Magus World had also deployed vast combat forces and native powerhouses here.
If Black Tide Plane was obliterated by the forbidden spell, the Magus World legions would not escape unscathed either.
Unless… this forbidden spells primary purpose was not destruction, but something else!
The Gallant Federations understanding of Magus World mechanics was still far too shallow.
When Magus World destroyed the Neisse Civilization and made its great leap in mechanics, the Gallant Federation was in the midst of severing ties with the Magus Alliance. That was when relations between these two civilizations were at their most tense.
Magus World later absorbed numerous technological secrets from the fleeing Rosen Dynasty, pushing its mechanical profession to even greater heights.
The Rosen Dynasty had no choice but to share its skillset. After all, they still had to rely on Magus World to avenge them and help them reclaim their homeplane.
The Rosen Dynasty Civilization was a matriarchal society where women held supreme authority.
Rumor had it that the current Empress had taken refuge under the Magus Civilizations protection. .
Centuries ago, at the 25th Magus Alliance Conference that Sein attended, an overlord-level powerhouse from the Rosen Dynasty made an appearance to declare its stance.
The Rosen Dynastys hatred and hostility for the Gallant Federation burned even hotter than that of the Magus World, which was already at war with them.
The preparation for forbidden spells like the Celestial Omen Magnetic Waves required considerable time.
After years of conflict with the Magus Civilization, the Gallant Federation had learned through experience that mages of Rank Four or higher were at their most vulnerable when casting forbidden spells.
They also knew that the stronger the forbidden spell, the harsher the backlash if a mages casting was interrupted.
In the Magus Civilizations long history of wars, many reckless mages had perished due to elemental backlashes when their forbidden spells were interrupted before completion.
Because of this, the Gallant Federation redoubled its offensive against the Magus World legions.
Dozens of federal capital ships and multiple giant mobile suits of Rank Four and above converged on Welks position.
At the same time, beyond Black Tide Plane, the federations hastily repaired and modified long-range artillery guns and combat satellites once again opened fire on the Magus World forces.
Combat raged not only within the plane but also spread into the Astral Realm.
Magus World had dispatched elite legions again and again to dismantle the federations technological weapons outside the plane.
On the Transversa Star Domain battlefield, one of the clearest signs of the Federations weakening defense, and of Magus Worlds rising momentum, was its heavy loss of control over the outer space surrounding the plane.
When the Gallant Federation launched a forced assault on the Magus World legions under the crushing pressure of the forbidden spell, the Rank Four and above knights and mages of the Magus World moved as well.
Clint, the peak Rank Five knight, charged at the front.
Before Welks arrival, he had been the strongest fighter on Black Tide Plane!
Neither the Magus Alliances Rank Five Molten Steel T-Rex nor Smarque, the Rank Five mage, could match Clints might in battle.
His mastery over geo-attribute laws gave him a presence as heavy and unstoppable as a mountain, even while he soared through the sky.
Wielding twin greatswords, he cleaved straight through a federal warship in a single strike. Then, bursting through the flames of the explosion, he shot toward a giant mobile suit that radiated the strongest energy fluctuations.
Behind Clint, other Magus World knights and mages unleashed their own attacks.
One particularly swift Rank Four knight broke from his legion and tore across the battlefield with a ferocity second only to Clints.
The Magus Civilization Armys large-scale maneuvers led the Gallant Federation commanders on Black Tide Plane to believe a full-scale assault was underway.
Sure enough, after confirming the situation on other battlefields, they learned that Magus World was not only moving on the Black Tide Plane but also launching simultaneous offensives across five other planes in the Transversa Star Domain, each one fiercer than any prior engagement.
Once again, a brutal, large-scale clash began.
With countless Rank Four and above combatants in play and legions numbering in the tens of millions, the already weakened planar will of Black Tide Plane could only groan in agony.
The ground quaked, its blackened surface splitting open with countless new fissures.
The once-dim sky was lit up by concentrated energy beams.
Torrents of viscous blood rained down, staining its lands crimson.
No matter which civilization claimed victory in the end, the battlefield looked like nothing less than the end of the world!
At the height of the chaos, a colossal bolt of lightning, spanning hundreds of meters wide, suddenly ripped through the center of the battlefield.
The crackling chain of energy felt like an omen. After its discharge, vast numbers of federal ships and drones plummeted from the skies, while the robotic cannon fodder legions on the ground froze for a brief moment.
It turned out that the Celestial Omen Magnetic Waves was not a destructive forbidden spell after all!
Its true purpose was to jam the Gallant Federations electronic systems while taking out select targets.
This was a specialized forbidden spell, developed by Magus World mechanics to specifically counter the Gallant Federation.
Though it had a limited effect on other creatures, it was a perfect attack against the federal legions.
Seins Azure Flame was another peculiar power that worked well against the Gallant Federation.
The ingenuity of the Magus Civilizations spellcasters should never be underestimated.
While the Celestial Omen Magnetic Waves wreaked havoc on the Gallant Federations communication channels, the chaos did not last. The federal legions quickly recovered.
Federal vessels had their own unique operating system, equipped with contingency protocols for extraordinary circumstances.
Many low-tier drones crashed outright, but most warships stabilized before hitting the ground.
Even the robotic cannon fodder legions managed to reboot themselves.
Unable to receive command directives, they switched into auto combat mode and continued their assault.
The Gallant Federation was not a force to be underestimated either!
The forbidden spell unleashed by the Magus Civilization had thrown the battlefield into chaos, but it had not yet dealt a decisive blow.
What followed, however, was an even greater shock to the Gallant Federationthe large-scale rebellion of the Huusian legions!
They struck like a dagger driven straight into the heart of the federal forces on Black Tide Plane.
Reeling in shock and fury, the Gallant Federations high command scrambled to activate contingency measures to control their foreign mercenary legions.
But the primary target of the Celestial Omen Magnetic Waves had been those very Huusian legions.
Nearly every method of controlling the Huusians failed at once. Even the surrounding federal legions, caught in the forbidden spells focus, were unable to react in time.
This was a meticulously planned strike! The Magus Civilizations coordinated assault had caught the Federation completely off guard!
What unsettled the federation even more was that the Huusians rebellion was not the only surprise.
A Rank Four Magus World lifeform had appeared deep within their rear lines.
When had he infiltrated?
Though only Rank Four, Sein displayed combat strength that rivaled Rank Five beings.
A barrage of dense elemental beams erupted from the mask covering his face as he activated his elemental demon form.
His lawful body made him a formidable presence in the federal legions rear, a threat even more dangerous than the Huusian King!
Bondi, the Rank Four knight, trailed close behind Clint.
Watching Sein swing his demonic arm to smash a federal destroyer that could not dodge in time, Bondi gulped nervously.
Is that guy really a mage? Wasnt he supposed to be an Elementalist? He doesnt look like a Bloodline Warlock either. How can he be so ridiculously massive?! he asked.
The Rank Four knight remembered how he had mocked Sein before, questioning whether he could even handle two Huusian princesses.
Now, Bondi knew better than to say another word.
If he were in Seins place, he knew he would never be able to unleash such overwhelming power.
Cut the chatter. Link up with Master Sein and the Huusians at once. While the federal legions are still in disarray, order every legion at the front to charge! Clint ordered.
The Gallant Federation legions were not about to sit idle while Sein and the Huusians tore through their rear lines.
The returning fleets and the surrounding self-propelled artillery opened fire once again. At the same time, two colossal mobile suits, each boasting combat power on par with Rank Four beings, moved in as well.
The war had reached its fever pitch!
